1. Scope
These Terms govern use of Kaaffilm account services, festival and institutional websites, invitation-bound filmmaker workspaces, screening services, paid access services and other Kaaffilm services that refer to these Terms.
2. Contact
Service questions may be sent to support@kaaffilm.com .
3. Accounts
Users must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure and use Kaaffilm services only through authority granted to their own identity.
Creating an account creates a Kaaffilm identity only.
Registration does not automatically grant Festival Access, selected-film authority, screening access, publication authority, timetable authority, award status or operator access.
4. Email verification and security
Kaaffilm may require verification of email ownership before protected capabilities become available.
Users must not attempt to consume another person's invitation, access another user's private workspace, obtain private media, or bypass account or entitlement controls.
5. Selected-filmmaker invitations
A selected-filmmaker invitation is intended for the authorized recipient and may be bound to a matching Kaaffilm identity.
Invitation activation does not itself establish public publication approval, screening admission, rights clearance, timetable placement or award status.
6. Filmmaker materials
A filmmaker workspace may allow authorized users to provide film metadata, synopsis, biography, credits, posters, stills, delivery links, master media and rights declarations.
Users supplying materials represent that they have authority to provide those materials to Kaaffilm for the relevant festival or service purpose.
7. Rights and publication
Uploading or supplying material does not, by itself, make that material public.
Any permission for public publication, festival exhibition, promotional use or screening must be governed by the applicable festival decision, declaration, licence or other specific authority.
8. Media processing
Kaaffilm may technically process supplied media for secure storage, validation, transcoding, quality-control and screening preparation.
Technical readiness does not equal rights clearance, publication approval or screening admission.
9. Festival Access and paid services
Where Kaaffilm offers a paid entitlement, the product, price and access conditions presented for that transaction govern the purchase.
Starting checkout or returning from a payment provider does not prove payment. Paid access becomes authoritative only after verified fulfilment.
10. Acceptable use
Users must not:
- impersonate another person;
- use another person's private invitation;
- bypass authentication or access controls;
- interfere with service security;
- submit malware or unlawful material;
- knowingly make false rights or ownership declarations;
- attempt unauthorized access to private account, film or screening data.
11. Suspension
Kaaffilm may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect security, investigate abuse, enforce these Terms, comply with law or protect other users and rights holders.
12. Intellectual property
Users retain rights they hold in their own materials.
Supplying materials to Kaaffilm grants only the permissions necessary for the specific service, festival administration, technical processing or separately authorized use.
13. Service availability
Kaaffilm may maintain, change or discontinue features. Existing contractual obligations and purchased entitlements remain subject to their applicable terms and law.
14. Privacy
Personal-information handling is described in the Kaaffilm Privacy Policy .
15. Changes
Kaaffilm may update these Terms when services or legal requirements change. The effective date shown on this page will identify the current version.
