The Roundabout offers an insight into an ordinary day in the lives of Bader and Yunes, Moroccan immigrants. They live in the Los Nietos settlement, situated next to a roundabout between the Autovia del Mediterraneo motorway and the popular coastal resort of San José. It is one of the oldest slums in the town of Nijar (Almeria), and currently one of the main rendezvous points for the African migrants who survive the dangerous journey in small boats. In terrible circumstances they band together to survive, while trying to legalise their situation. Most of them labour all year round in the surrounding hothouses, and therefore cannot be considered seasonal workers.
