A Summer’s end poem
In a small village near the southern Chinese city of Chaozhou, a left-behind boy, spending his summer with his grandfather, approaches the last day of the sixth-grade vacation. Filled with anticipation and determination, he invests his hard-earned savings to create the city hairstyle he has long yearned for, symbolizing the impending transition to junior high. However, as reality takes an unexpected turn, the outcome becomes a mysterious twist, subtly highlighting the gap between expectations and reality.
